Alexa is always open to consulting or collaboration opportunities; and providing lectures, workshops, critiques or panels to your firm, studio, or class. She has several years of experience as a landscape designer, is an expert in designing for the Deaf community (using DeafSpace / DeafScape principles), applying best practices for including and designing with the disabled community, and is a dynamic speaker and educator. She is open to projects of different scales, focusing on outdoor spaces, in landscape architecture and urban design.

  • Review and QAQC provided through any/all stages of a project for outdoor spaces (both text and graphic materials):

    • DeafScape / DeafSpace

    • Universal Design

    • Human-Centered Design

  • Virtual or in-person training on best practices for:

    • including the disabled community in the design process

    • improving internal and external practices as an office/firm

  • Assistance in:

    • planning and moderating or leading stakeholder engagement meetings, to help make your general community engagements more accessible and inclusive

    • hosting disabled stakeholders or disabled stakeholder/expert focus groups, specifically

  • In-person or virtual, for:

    • professional offices and firms

    • academic courses and studios (including critiques)

    • conferences and webinars, etc.

  • Review of a built site (either pre- or post-construction) to assess accessibility, using principles of DeafScape, Universal Design, and Human-Centered Design.
